Clarinetist Kenneth (Kenny) Mellon is a senior at Lower Merion High School. He currently studies with Alexander Bedenko at the Nelly Berman School of Music. Kenny plays clarinet in school, the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, and the Delaware County Youth Orchestra. He won first prize at the Sydney Forrest Clarinet Competition and the Delaware County Symphony Concerto Competition, and has also earned scholarships to Interlochen Arts Camp World Youth Orchestra and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute Young Artist Orchestra. Outside of music, Kenny enjoys exploring cities with friends and camping. He looks forward to continuing a career in music and attending a conservatory in the fall.
